U know yh is right. HX shld get his own blog. instead of pestering me to blog more often. and why pick on me sia? yh hasn't blogged for like 2 months alrdy. Does he hear any comments from HX? I think hx is biased against me lor. Must by because yh is bigger sized and poor me is so small sized. another reason is probably be yh's blog doesn't have those Chat Boxes. Maybe next time i wouldn't renew mine after it expires.
BBQ matters:
Why my house can't be used:
a) no bbq pit (and those that say go buy lah...u buy for me then...bloody hell.. i'm no gold mine)
b) My garden a bit clamped maybe + lots of cats' droppings.
c) Parents don't really like BBQ
Now for other matters: i don't think chalet will be good. Prices are fucking HIGH..and i'm talking like $100++ PER night. ( and yes chalets are that expensive nowadays so don't argue with me on that, my mom books for my cousin to use just recently) and also u see how CHEAP!! certain memebers of the BC are...i can alrdy imagine john ming and edward's reaction on the idea that they have to pay more than $50 for a chalet.
something also puzzled me. HX ask me to plan BBQ right? = HX not free. But then why did he ask me whether i wanted to go for Msia trip which he might be organising? Very suspicious indeed.
Feel like dying now...trying to pick and memorise 6 poems for exams next friday. *vomits blood* memorise because
a) the qn is put such that I've to refer to 2 poems by differnt poets.
b) differetn themes which means i can't just memorise any 2, but 4-6 just in case. God knows i was tempted to memorise the 4 liner poems.
c) I can't bring the poems to the exam to refer. must remember it from m e m o ry.
d) Has anyone seen the damm poems Emily Dickinson wrote? Sounds nice lah..but trying to understand them.... *pukes*
Sian...think i will sleep early tonight. Poetry is giving me a headache for some reason.
PS: decided not to shave for the next 1.5 weeks. want to see how unsightly i will look after that haha. of course during that time i will not be leaving the house. ok maybe i will shave b4 going to NTU for research. prob head there on MONDAY. so ivan william hx and yh, prepare to treat me if u see me....

costa sands is 150 per night in dec for 2-storey, or abt 120 for 1 storey for non-members. I have no idea how much the food and charcoal and etc will cost but if we split among Ivan, William, HX, you, CZY, CY, Ed and me, how much will it cost us?
$30-50/guy? If it someone can calc this properly, and the sum per person even hits $45 for 1-storey chalet for 1 night, then we might as well go for some restaurant.
And maybe it's my French teacher's influence, but I realize that it is true that we should eat something that's really good once in a while, even if it means eating good less frequently.
I don't mean Les Amis (btw pronounce as "Lay - zah - mee") coz its still way beyond any of our budgets. Maybe after graduation...
What I mean is maybe we should think about other restaurants instead of buffets all the time. Ok I think I was the one who started it, but here are my reasons:
1) Our appetites are shrinking.
2) I don't like to eat at suicidal rates anymore.
3) If we keep eating cheap food/junk food/MSG-saturated food all the time, our standards will always be at the corresponding levels.
4) I'm curious.
5) Life is short.
So someone who's got more experience in this pls calc the total cost of food, charcoal, etc, using the assumption that we use a 1-storey chalet for 1 night with 8 people. Unless it's impractical to rent for only 1 night, of course.
If it does exceed $40/guy then perhaps we should consider alternatives.
I din even plan for my upcoming malaysia trip. It's gonna be like "I want to go this place, then pack bag and go." Tried it one time with my friends. It's real cooL!
That's why I din dare to ask most of the rest of the BC because this trip gonna be very adventurous. Be glad, I considered you adventurous. haha...Moreover, the period I leave for the trip, the NUS pple just start their exams.
This trip is nothing like the genting trip we went where I got to plan where to go, where to stay, what bus to take etc...
Small grp, no planning, no complaining,no whining from anyone.
As for BBQ, we can always buy a pit to your house. But if your parents are really against it(provided you ask them) we can always book those below HDB blocks or go West Coast Park (CZY has his disapproval on WCP) at $10 or $20 per nite respectively.
I can recommend good food and definitely expensive ones but judging on past experiences, I am sick of getting shoot down by people. Many a times, you organise with enthusiasm but to be put down by people who dun think in the same frequency. I have enough of it. That's why my arrows fly and you don't see me organising anymore. Haha...

some resorts the bbq pit doesn't come with the chalet... so u guys might have to pay extra... but i think hx's idea of block bbq pit is quite alright... can ask ivan to book... cos there is one near his house... hbd but at least it's jurong east... for my family ... we bbq IN the kitchen although we live in a hdb 5 room flat... hahah...
if u want to save money ... we can bbq sweet potato, corn, potato, sausages... cos i think the only expensive thing is satay and drinks(that is if u buy packet/ can drinks)... the rest i think still manageable...chicken wings can buy packet and marinate... ivan say he volunteer bee hoon(actually it's i arrow one)...
ivan suggest his house- toh guan park... hahaha... we can buy portable bbq pit.. somemore near giant... then can use his house as base...
the best thing is... we can just go after eating and leave ivan to clear up!!!! hhahaha...

I love WCP. I hate ECP..not cos of the distance from my house but WCP's BBQ pits are nearer to the sea then ECP. And the best is that you can see Sunset at WCP. Romantic huh?
Is Xinlan invited for the BBQ? I thought it's gonna be a all guys' outing organised by the BC club. Haha...So it wouldn't be nice for her to come UNLESS she bring some girl friends of hers to intro some of the desperate people like...you know who. Haha...
And all of you are terribly WRONG abt who has the best bow and arrows. It's not ME!! Apparently, now we know there's a archer (xinLan) and her permanent and willing target board. Haha..If you need anything done with the help of Ivan, you know who's the man...oops...woman to find. Haha...
Therefore, I am for the idea of either WCP or below HDB blocks. Since Ivan has been volunteered to book, I guess we shld give him the liberty of choosing betw the two. Yeah!
