Don't u juz love this cool weather today? Raining weather, nice cool winds blowing outdoors, PERFECT for sleeping.

And i'm stuck inside the damm office blasted by the aircon and working my butt off.

So for those IDIOTS (male friends of mine included, I don't scold females) sleeping their heads off in this fine weather, i curse u!!! (not those serious kind of curses, juz the type where i hope the rain pours in from ur window and hits u on the face or at least wets ur bed until u can't sleep.
*grumbles and mutters swear words* Hates mondays.

Things I've missed:

a) The super old but excellent computer game: Master of Magic (was played in MSDOS)
(broke my heart to throw away the game, think the disc was spoilt)

b) Black Isle Studios (makers of Baulder's Gate series) closed down due to bankruptcy.
(sigh...no wonder i couldn't get any good RPG games for the last few yrs)

c) Dreamwave Comics (it produced the new Transformers comics. Don't laugh, but the storyline was superb and the artwork was like amazing too

d) and of course the famous amos cookies i bought last week. Enuff said

If i knew then how much my previous toys were going to be worth in the future, i would have treated them better. $49 for 1 now? zzz.. Come to think abt don't even know what happened to my old toys. Think they are still stuck in some old box, filled with cobwebs, rust and dirt.

Went to Meiting's house warming party yesterday with hx and herbert. Nice house, almost exactly the same design as Uncle Richard/Bob's houses.

Food was nice. Saw berlinda there, still looks the same, exchanged greetings etc the usual

Only irritating?, more like minor hipcup was that we were conned? nah too harsh a word, misunderstoond 1 incident

We were told to do some ritual/blessing (we thought it was those kind of rituals where u bless the owner of the house etc), instead it was some kind of spiritual thingy. Led into a room where they explained the whole spiritual thingy. Haha..too bad it was explained in CHINESE!!!

Great way to put me to sleep. Explaining spiritual philosophical discussion in chinese. I was lost after the 1st 4 sentences.

End: Hx was kindof pissed. Herbert and I were irritated i guess, 'discussion' took up 45mins.

After that Meiting took us ard the house then we went home. Interesting enough, found out there's a direct bus to/from there. Could be useful in case she invites us back for her 21st birthday

a) u wake up in the morning feel tired instead of refreshed (i admit this happens almost every day)

b) Ur muscles ache like hell

c) 3 of ur collegues are on course and the phone keeps on ringing every 2mins.

*sniffs* didn't even have the time to pop a sweet into my mouth just now.

So much for thinking i could spend my lunch hour trying to buy a new pair of working shoes in orchard. Ah well, another day then. Hopefully my shoes doesn't wear out too soon.

Just waiting for the next piece of work and a pretty depressing thought hit me in the guts. It's the lost of several friendships gained in primary sch. *sec sch still holding pretty strong and i can't really be bothered with JC friends that much sad to say,save for a handful*

What happened to my 1st group of close friends? (b4 i met hx,ivan and co)

Daryl, Zixiang,Eujin and Boyan and I were as close as brothers in a way. Went out for movies, arcades and slacking in Eujin or Zx's house. (lan was not that popular? or held less interest to us 6-9 yrs ago)

Since then i've lost all contact with them except Boyan of course. Then again haven't contact him for 1 yr alrdy. Will meet up with him soon i guess. But what happened to the rest?

It saddens me to have lost contact with them. Even though i still remember the good old times we had. Eujin's horny jokes, Zx's clumsiness at times and daryl..he was pretty quiet compared to the other 2. The long bus rides from NJC to J.Pt. (1hr20mins ride i think)

Guilt:
I'm feeling super guilty right now. Spent $10 buying 250g of Famous Amos Cookies. Actually only wanted to buy 100g but the no of cookies looked so little....

Denial: I can' have spent $10 on cookies!!! It's not healthy, not cheap even though it tastes damm yummy. Man...wasting my money...my life blood away!!!

Acceptance: Ah heck...maybe i will buy more the day after...$10 more wouldn't kill me.

Besides give me credit! I resisted the cookies' siren call(smell in this case) for 3 FULL days! U know how hard that is?????? Juz ask those who have seen me walk past a famous amos shop b4.

Even though the smell at the Raffles place shop is not that strong but it still can make me drool. Don't bother asking what the shop at Wisma does to me. Requires Ivan and edward and maybe yh to drain me away from that sweet aroma. *drools*

The fresh is weak and my will is weaker when it comes to certain items. Sadly? famous amos cookies is 1 such item.

I've this sinking feeling that this is going to be quite a bad day...

For some strange reason i feel like practising my DOTA skills all of a sudden. Hearing 1st Blood if i'm lucky enuff can be extremely satisfying.

It would be nice to gloat over the rest after slaying their characters...haha....nvm. gloating shld be done in private.

Days like these when i wish i could juz carry on sleeping on my spoilt but still comfy bed with my thin but nice blanket when it's raining outside.

Got my 1st pay check!

not bad for the 1st month of the job. Got paid OT for coming in 1/2hr earlier. :)

And no i'm not treating friends for now! Broke. Maybe will treat next time..like in 5yrs or so. haha. (Victor the miser/stingy!!!)

Ah feel so much better today. I mean I still feel a bit down as usual (but yesterday was much worse.)

Ah while pple were eagerly watching the world cup, i was watching tennis (wimbeldon finals). Rodger Federer plays near perfect tennis. Seeing him play is like watching magic! Exquisite moves and co-ordinations and he plays so smoothly w/o any (apparent) hurry. He moves like lightning too.

For some reason i don't really like Nadal. Something abt his looks i think that puts me off. Talking abt looks, the woman's winner, amelia mauresmo looks like a man. Cut off her pony tail and she will be a he, or a she man, he-she/she-he.

The men's finals was so much more exciting than the woman's. Nadal played well but Federer juz ran after all the balls. (lightning movements). *Shrugs* Guess that's why he's number uno!

Give me tennis and/or basketball to watch anytime over soccer. Yes i know most pple would say i'm those type of guys who like fast and quick actions. Instant gratification. Soccer's too slow for me. Besides i know most pple watch soccer only because they have placed bets on the teams.

I'm in a pretty foul and vicious mood today for various reasons(stated below). If i was a girl i would say it's PMS but i guess for me it's more like violent insanity mood.

a) Been having a pretty irritating painful headache for the last 2hrs

b(i) damm IT sec has disabled the acct which i was using to do my work, leaving me with THE account which lacks a certain Drive required for me to do a certain work. Idiots....told them not to disable it until my own account was fixed...

(ii) Best part they can't tell me when it will be fixed. (soon they say....been waiting for a week alrdy....)

c) bloody new comers keep on stealing the staple and calculator w/o returning it. It's a very minor irritation but on days like these.....

Feel like ripping someone's guts out and using them as a skipping rope or doing something equally gory juz to vent my frustations.

W/o Msn, email or access to any games site in the office, my 'fav' site in the net now is wikipedia!

What a truly bad monday i had. The amt of bad luck i had was juz amazing.

a) 1st thing i heard when i sat down was my superior telling me i almost costed HSBC $86m due to a rate quoting mistake. (lucky he corrected it i think. Great way to start a monday ya?)

b) Had to do all the resetting shit for my new acct after they deleted my old one.

c) Employment service called to say they might not pay me the extra 1/2hr OT i've been coming in the morning for the last month, even though they paid the person i took over from that 1/2hr extra OT

d) Was hoping to go home on time (super rare event) but a stupid mistake made by SOMEONE!!! forced me to stay back for 20 extra mins

e) missed the bus 2x due to overcrowding.

f) Due to overcrowdedness and mostly due to listening to my ipod, i stopped like 5 stops after my house. forced to take taxi.... (k i was too lazy and hot to cross the street. U try walking in singapore with a long sleeves shirt w/o melting. )

Only good thing was that on the bus i met this pretty chio girl. (then again it was nothing much). Anyway she looked like she was ard 15-18 and totally sunburnt. (felt pity for her since she was carry this huge heavy bag and it was against her burnt skin)

All in all a very depressing day. Almost like asking me tolerate edward for a week with no breaks. Now that's a truly depressing thought. Gives me the shivers.

Monday!!! Somehow i juz wanna slack even though i'm suppose to be working now.

Ah can't wait to get my pay check for Jun. Even though there's going to be very vey little left for me to spend (see previous 5-6 entries back). Juz found out the CPF deduction would be abt 20%!

Watched Corpse Bride yesterday. Pretty good show though it's a bit short(1hr 16mins). Can finally return the disc to ivan who can pass it to hx.

If i had 1 wish, i might consider wishing all mosquitos to die. Damm flying bugs...why are they always bitting me??? Even though i share the room with my bro, i can get 4-5 bites and he get none. My blood must be too sweet.

Last night only had 1 bite but this bug bit me on my hand where the veins intersected. Hope it overfed and became slow enuff to be eaten 1 of those lizards always hanging ard my room walls all the time. HATE MOSQUITOS! (thank god their life spans is only abt a week)

I know i need a break or some sort of distraction when i start humming London Bridge is falling down continously while working...

Can't wait to go home, my cough/cold=flu? is killing me.

Funny thoughts

Juz saw the cover of 8 Days with the Superman image on it. He looks like such a weakling!!!! Couldn't they design his costume to at least show his 6 packs/ or fake it even if he didn't have them??

Then this super funny*in my own opinion* thought struck me. Even hongxin might look more convincing!! *picture of hongxin in a superman costume popped in my mind* (hx has curly hair, almost the same as S-man. and duh! he has mucles)

Man...that image also made me laugh out on the mrt.

Knowing hx, if he had such powers, he *might* be a good hero. But the image that keeps popping in my mind is him:

a)robbing a bank and *hopefully* giving $$ to his friends

or the more and very likely

b) Trying out all the good food in singapore at super speed and of course the usual "bullying" of friends

hmm..somehow in words it doesn't seem that funny. But if u know hx as i do, somehow the combination of his personality and super-like powers seems damm hilarious.

Juz so sick..nah..more like tired to pple mistaking my age. Even though i'm reaching the supposedly all great 21 years of age, pple still think i'm in sec sch!!! Juz last wk a taxi uncle asked me which sec sch i was studying at...zz...

Still remember that time in sec 4 i think(yes it was many many many yrs ago), was in church and this little sec2 kid think i was the same age as him. Didn't know whether to cry or laugh. (in the end i laughed)

Gotten so used to drawing out my I/C when going in for movies/and the very rare outings of clubbings.

Maybe i shld wax or gel my hair instead. Then again, i'm kindof lazy in styling my hair.

Juz realised i need more excitement/adventure/fun? in my life. Actually all i want to do is maybe something different from what 'ive been doing so far.

I mean playing WC3:dota, PS2, basketball and going for buffets are fun but they do get tiring after sometime. (of course they are still fun, especially playing dota with friends. 1ST BLOOD *usually ivan*)

Hmm..i suppose getting a girlfriend would be a change from the norm (god..i make it sound like a GF is some sort of toy...certainly something i didn't want to or think)

Maybe i shld go to a museum or the Esplanade next time.

Can't believe the Miami Heats won the NBA playoffs. (was actually rooting for the SAS but they were defeated by Dallas. Later on rooted for Dallas but again...). Instead of usually watching the playoffs on TV, was forced to 'watch' it on the nba website where a word for word description for the game was displayed *pitiful*

Oh ya, managed to knock off work early/only 5 mins overdue yesterday!! was so happy getting back home at 7pm.

Man this month's pay is juz going to be flushed down the drain :

Starting work on Jun 5 hence missing the 2 days (3-4 were wkends) = $104
Total = 824

Hence salary for Jun: $1200 - $824 - CPF = a very pitiful and small amount.

Hate it when i have free time and the dumb office doesn't allow usage of msn or acess to email like gmail or hotmail!!! Now juz surfing the net (wikipedia) and reading other pple's blog. How dull things can become. Really prefer juz chatting with my friends online.

Office life isn't that bad. It's pretty obvious i can't blend or interact as well as my 'upper study' here, due to my lack of knowlegde of hokkien or canto. Everyone's all polite and stuff but well...there's this language barrier i guess. Ah well...i can live with it, after all survived army w/o using them too (only exceptions being the all too common swear words)

Still pretty much a noob when it comes to entering certain deals. ZZZ....hate doing those. 1 mistake might cost me my whole SALARY! (notice the difference btw the word 'allowance' used when in NS?)

WORK WORK!

Now outta army and working at HSBC @ raffles place there. Got the job thanks to my cousin nigel.

so basically i'm working for $1200 a month (haven't excluded CPF yet nor included OT). works out to be $6.50/hr.

Working is NOT that bad. Guess i got lucky i think.

Working hrs=8.30am -6pm (in theory)

(reality) - bloody hell....i come in at 8am. It's the damm 173 BUS i take to clementi stat. If i dun catch it at 0715-0720, it only comes again after 15-25mins. Which would make me come to work at 0835 (late! that's with running all the way from raffles stat to the office)

Of cuz if i catch it at within the specified time, i come to the office super early. *grunts* at least i can clock in that extra 1/2hr as OT..i think.

As for the ending at 6pm....let's juz say the earliest i've ever left was at 6.30pm. latest so far was 7.20pm. (agaain thank god for OT payments)

*thought of Warcraft3 orc's peons saying work work pops up*

Of course all this talk abt OT paying is not confirmed since i've even received my 1st pay check.

NEW CAR!

Parents getting or i shld say bought a new car. After our dear old fort laser totally broke down 2x in 1 month.

SO very tired...tired

well...seems i'vent written in here for the last 6 months. Sigh...nothing much to write..can't really think much these days. hasn't been a good Mar 06 for me. Juz recovered from the usual tonsils infection which knocked me out for a week. After that straight into the bloody exercise TJ. Not enuff sleep and rest preventing me from recovering fully. Only getting a few hrs of nap time everynight. get back at 12 midnight and back to camp by 7.30am every morning.

Even now i feel exhausted and my cough still lingers around. 5 more working days but why do i still feel so down and out? Just 5 more days...just need to hang on till then....

Last wk went to yiyu's 21st birthday party. Pretty expensive chalet she rented juz to invite all her friends and family. Nice playing with the little kiddos there.(rachael,lydia, luke). Anyway will update the photos soon. Food was great! catered by Jack's steak house. Bdae Cake was even better. haha.

Note to self: never play with 7 yr old kids. They have unlimited energy and are very demanding in wanting piggy back rides on elder cousins.

Anyway for the lack of updates, well i've been busy playing new games ok? got Fable:The lost chapters and War hammer 40k: winter assault and been watching FF7: Advent children. All 3 are so cool! Fable's not that bad a RPG game...could be slightly better though. WH 40K is juz..how to say this...hmm..It's good for a nice game of explosions and destruction. Worth getting the orginal.

FF7 AC is 100% CG. Graphic's awesome. Story's ok. Fighting scenes: SPECTACULAR!

a) passed my ATP! Victor is a SAR 21 trained idiot~! No ATP hahaha!
b) Bad thing was i slept half of my saturday after the ATP..sheesh! that's wat happens when u get 2hrs sleep only out of 2.5 days. zzz...

c) oh ya...excused guard duty till jan 06 by SAF medical board! One of my long term goals in SAF completed.

d) Abt 7.5 more months to GO!!! Btw, have i mentioned i've 2 understudies? This is really really bad...hitting the ord mood too early..

besides that an uneventful wkend. Haven't thought of what to get Hx for his birthday....only 2 days away...Sigh. Maybe next time i will treat him to a meal or something.

OK got all my little weapons of diplomacy rdy for the little show down on monday. Checked with SAF hotline. Only thing left is to talk with Chief Clerk b4 going for the showdown.

anyway fyi. Information below a) - c) is obtained from SAF Hotline.

a) as long as leave does not intervere with unit's operations or cause a shortage of manpower, u can apply for leave. There are NO directives stating how long or short your leave can be.

b) There's no such thing as being worthy or unworthy of ur leave BECAUSE leave= ENTITLEMENT not a privilege, unlike an OFF.

c) Do not hesistate to complain to a higher authority.

Besides that i've checked with the leave handbook from G1 Army Website and there's no reference to such rejection of leave for such reasons such as being unworthy.

Sigh...never thought i would've to resort to such tactics. Of course it can easily result to me being marked by my 'dear' S1. Then again he shldn't have throw his bloody rank ard so much and write such unreasonable and unsupportable mail. Idiot... haha...can just imagine the ruckus Alvin would've made if such a thing had happened to him the last time.

i must remember to keep my temper and speak in a damm logical and even tone. Afterall dun want to really become the 'unworthy of taking such a long weekend' personnel right?

On leave today.possible case of flu once more. Received some news this morning after i woke up late...MY LEAVE ON 22 SEPT REJECTED! there goes my combi of 22, 23,24,25,26 LONG WEEKEND!

Usually i wouldn't mind but the reason my new fucked up S1 provided was damm fucked!

a) Said i had leave on 25/26th.(fri,monday) so can't apply on thursday (22th). (fuck u S1, my leave is how i want it to be planned)

b) Might have shortage of manpower (again fuck u. I've checked and i'm the only person going on lve that day)

c) Something about what the Leave not being earnt and i better arrange other days if not see the rest being burnt.(AFU, leave= entitlement. U have no right to reject it on such a fucking basis!)

Maybe i shld've joined CMRC....a) avoid all normah's lousy work/incomplete work b) avoid having such a blooody s1. Knn...

Well guess Monday is the day i go confront him then. Must remember not to lose my anger..use logic. Curse him.

Work/Amry: still the same old shit. I miss the gd old days..at least i worked not only because i was told to but my superiors were worth working for. Now...the CC is ok. (but not as good as eric...haha!), but besides that? the officers mainly sux lah except for S3. That one bo pian, like or dun like also too used to his style liao.

What's with my attitude man? too early for ord mood. Every job now is no longer filled with excitement? achievement? It's juz worthless junk! To hell with the army!

So far it's been quite a boring day....Sigh! Bro went for a holiday till wed = whole room to myself till then.

Going off to plaza sing later to meet up with my jc's CCA's pple for a 'reunion'. BLubber....a bit of a waste of time. If hx's wasn't going..i probably wouldn;t go. But since i've also nothing better to do on a Sunday, might as well go there and say hi.

On a brighter note, on leave tomorrow! long weekend. Then again...also nothing to do. Maybe i will go see a movie alone, maybe Batman Begins or something.

Quite a busy saturday I've had. Lina's wedding! Another cousin married off. Sigh...

Being a receptionist wasn't easy. But hey..had lots of fun during the dinner and night clubbing at zouk. I think i'm skipping here and there, so let's start from the beginning.

a) Lina's wedding. Bro, cousins and I= receptionists. Wedding was kind of toned down....rushed would be the word. Lina of course looked 100% great! It was there that Yiyu decided why not all the cousins including Ben,Amy ( yes..they came down from UK again) go to zouk. Everyone agreed :)

b) *jumps to the dinner part* Man....3hrs at a table just for a 10 course meal...LONG! If..no no no...WHEN i get married, i will make sure my wedding dinner will be faster. Anyway, fun talking to all the cousins, making jokes etc etc. Andy caused quite a scene when he came straight from NDP rehearsal wearing his uniform. He looked damm smart.

c) After dinner= Zouk! Went to zouk! Andy and my bro drove there. Aunt Yen was juz drunk. Hey...she was in such a good mood(even though she was drunk), she paid for ALL our tickets to Zouk. Cool huh? We cousins had fun. Dancing, drinking,talking cock. Man...i became slightly intoxicated. Low alcohol tolerence lvl. Haha. Yiyu takes after Uncle Richard. When most of our faces were red and hot(lousy drinkers we are), her's was cold and she wasn't even dizzy.

Mark's dance is err..pretty cool. Fast and cool. Sigh...we shld all have more outings like these, even though i could do w/o the drunk part.

anyway managed to read finish my friend's Angels & Demons by Dan Brown by speed reading it through the lunch breaks. Superb book, even though i'm sure i missed a part here and there because of lack of time. Bleh....good books shld be read slowly....ah well...maybe next time i will buy the book.

Also managed to finished the Forgotten Realms: Dark Elf Trilogy. Nice reading of the life of a Drow. Of course i'm sure most of u wouldn't understand since it's mostly D &D (dungeons and Dragons) stuff.

Sigh...now have to think of a WITS project by friday. How irritating army life can be.

Times flies once again

a) BRC the week before was superb. 5 days of slacking, sleeping and hanging out with jaron and larry. They make great pals.

c) watching a great series of the nba playoffs with the suns vs the spurs! Can tell you, this would be far better than any other playoff series left in the playoffs.

d) spent a lot of money...unnecessary too, Sigh...

e) Shld hanging out with the same old gang..nothing much, nothing new...haha. Still the same old bball, lan and eating.

f) Finally going all out with my driving! It's like a drug,once u start, u can't stop. The thrill, fun...great. Even though i find it kind of tiring and a good way for money to flow out of my pocket.

Really wrecky day in camp! Basically everyone juz laughing their guts out playing PS2, most notably Dragonball 3 game and Winning Elven. HAHAHAHA.

oh man...my CC is going to kill me tomorrow for not doing the work she assigned me...
oh well, tough luck i guess."Hazards of a clerk's life" haha. The gang will kill me if they hear that.


oh man...2molo's my 1st driving practical lesson. Knowing the lack of sleep i'm going to get tonight...hopefully i wouldn't make too many groggy mistakes. 1st Impressions do count.

Also saw Jie Wei today in camp. Poor guy, doing guard duty. sad. Invited him to come to the office to relax, but too bad he's not doing any prowling for the day.

Happy Holiday! Hope everyone is merrily slacking at home! Anyway, stuck in camp overnight today. At least managed to bring in my PS2 and games to entertain the NSmen and myself and my partner.

Checklist for entertainment: PS2 & CO,book,cds,tv = all checked!

Not that bad staying in camp today. It's pretty good way to save money and i get a day off too for just sitting around and doing nothing much.

Less than 1 yr left or NSF life left! 358 days to be exact! HAHAHAHAHA! The smell of the ORD date is getting stronger....

and i'm stucked in camp. using the i-net comp now. waiting for my bloody turn to use msn on the laptop. And this stupid screen is as usual vibrating ever slightly. Damm....this is irritating on the eyes.

btw, i'm also hungry. Don't know what type of logic this indenting of night snacks is. 6 NSmen, 2 NSFs and 1 Duty officer. How many snacks we indent, 6 instant cup noodles and small little palm sized cup cakes each. Knn...at least indent more of the small little tarts/cakes lah! Logistics like these juz leave me full of 'admiration' of the army.

a)woke up at 5.25am this morning because had to in pro NSmen at 730 in camp.
b) have a darn bad cold/blocked nose to boost. must be the hip cups i had yesterday. Had the hips at 11am...lasted all the way until b4 i slept at 1030pm, now i've a sore throat....knn.
c) been working OT for the last week.

Conclusion: knowing my own body, have this bad feeling i'm going to be sick if i'm not careful. There goes my plans for today/maybe for the whole weekend too.

Friends...

Met up with boyan and ulric today. Played pool with boyan in the morning. That's the good things with best buddies, u can don't meet up for like 8 months and the next time u meet, it's like nothing ever happened. There's no changes in the friendship, nothing. Fun playing pool, had some superb tyco shots. haha. (found out Zixiang's a clerk, downgraded from commando...,darryl's also a clerk, eujin ord alrdy and flew back to Australia to further his studies)

Always thought it strange that eujin actually went through NS even though he's a malaysian. I mean heck, he sure doesn't need the cash. But it seems that he thought it will be easier to find a job when it states he has served NS. Nice one friend.

Ulric...still the same old hairdo, looks. It's like the same old person from JC. Met at serene centre. Too bad they didn't have AOA(age of apocalyse) book 2 out yet. Passed him the poster and juz normal chit chats. Is it me or are the clerks in other Units besides maju camp juz slacking ard, surfing net and waiting for knock off time?

Busy busy busy

went to Sim lim square this weekend ALONE which wasn't that bad. besides missing the stop and walking some distance in the rain. So decided to get the Nvidia 6600 GT graphics card which will cost $338. Going to buy it abt 2 weeks time after my bro's exams are over. Wouldn;t want to distract with the games we will be able to play with this new graphics card. Also decided to upgrade our ram by another 512 DDR Kingston Ram. $93. Lucky my bro is also chipping in to foot the bill or else that would be more than my month's allowance.

Of course to *some* pple, $431 is not even a month's allowance, more like 3/4. But then again, they do more stuff, stay in etc, so i'm not *that* envious.

Needless to say, have to draw on my little stash of cash to help tide me over. Thank goodness i don't spend much most of the time.

My luck almost always fails in certain aspects in my life. Sigh!

Observation of Office life in the Bde:
1) Pple are slackers there.
2) I cannot stand a certain G1 female clerk posted there! *G1 br pple shld know her* Sometimes she's so ARGH! irritating that i feel like slapping her and ask her to wake up her bloody idea.
3) I think with a few exceptions, i would mostly ignore these NSFs in my Bde after i ord. Can't stand them
4) Reluctance to help pple overridden by natural survival instinct to aviod getting tekan by superiors who care only abt results

Conclusion: Can't wait to ORD.

a) BIGGEST DRAIN= my mom's birthday. of course i would spend my money w/o hesitation even if it costs Heck..it's my mom man!

b) Buying a new graphics card + ram for the comp. Luckily my bro is helping me to foot half the bill. Hey..he uses the comp too

since mr jaron ng is so particular abt my exact ord count down date, i will calculate roughly the amt of WORKING days i've left.

ORD = 25 Apr 05
current date = 11 Apr 05

total days= 1yr 14 days= 365+14= 379 days...to make it easier let's juz say i've 1 yr left= 365 days

1yr= 52 wks. 1 week have 2 weekends, so 52 x 2= 104 days which i dun have to work. maybe abt 10 -12 days of public holidays until i ORD?

so abt 104+ 12= max of 116 days

365- 116= 249 working days left

currently have 27 days worth of leave. by the time i ord, maybe abt 40? 42 days.

249 -42= 207 working days.

Let's say i super suay, kana a hell of a lot more guard duties, or maybe *most likely* involved in NDP, add another 40 days (burnt weekends)?

altogether abt 247 working days then

I want to watch movies! Missed out on some good ones when i was injured. Bleh!

1. Star Wars Eps 3: oh yea...even though i don't like the 1st 2 eps, old habits die hard, i was a die hard star wars fan!

2. Fantastic 4: Marvel productions. Enuff said.

3. Sin City: heard it's a real good movie. But checked the various cinemas. Seems like it's coming out in may even though it's out in the US in 15 Apr?? have to check further.

I wish they had a transformers movie. haha! oh yea..they had one (looks at the DVD disc bought from HMV on the shelf), ok then, i want another one!

Look on the bright side of life..

New S1 came in. Interesting how small the world can be since it's a person who was in the same platoon as hongxin. Since hx speaks well of him and maybe from my own gut feeling, he seems like a pretty good person. Eitherway, hx is a pretty good judge of pple. As he says Victor= fucker! haha. Might be true from certain angles u know.


Anyway, decided to adopt a more positive outlook on life. Enuff bitching abt the army, guard duties and thong thong. If/ most likely he wants to give me more duties, let him then! 2,3 heck even 8 or 12, I don't give a fucking damm! Same goes with army work! Do, get the job done and be done with it. Like Alvin said to me, once the foot steps out of camp, all work issues are left behind. YA!

KNN...i swear he got nothing better to do except hound me abt the 2 duties i 'own' him. oh wait, juz remembered, CMI THONG really got nothing better to do. he only got guard duties to do. How forgetful of me. Any other duty would overload his severely limited brain capacity. Nevermind...i had a great master in chao keng by the name of ALVIN ANG THE GREAT! haha....Must later pull out the stunts knowledge he imparted to me.

Feel like fainting over my workload now. haha...still not used to coming back after such a long break. Stupid mob manning. 490 NSmen to call b4 Dy comes back on thurs. *faints* Thank god it happens only twice a year.

Camp's no longer as fun as last year. All the good pple are ORDING. leaving mostly only the scrums behind. Eric, Alvin, Teck chuan, G1 br pple ( too many idiots to list down), Derek too all left camp. Sigh..

good old days

Missing the time i spent in primary/early secondary school with the old group of friends i had. Must be the cool weather which made me think of those times. Isn't strange that such good times should bring such moody thoughts?

Where are my friends from yesteryear now? Eujin, Darryl, Zixiang? The only person whom i still keep in touch is Boyan. Then again, haven't contact him for like 8 months. Last i met any of the rest was like 5-6? years ago.


I still remember the rides we took from Eujin's house(near HCJC) to Jurong Pt. Took 154. Haha...bus rides always took over a hour. I guess we were just so busy catching up that the hour juz flew by. Movies then back to eujin' s house. Those were great memories.

Horny eujin, CMI zixiang and Darryl, great at fencing...haha..i wonder where/ what they are doing now?

Disappointment

Played finished Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 (KOTOR 2). Fucking disappointing! *excuse the vulgarities* Game play was great! But...ending was juz such a letdown. Huge gaping holes in the plot and character development! and WHY? Because Lucas Art decided to cut short a lot of stuff from the game to make it available for Xmas 2004.

Their greediness has literally ruined the GAME! Damm it! Lucky i didn't buy the original. Saved me 40 bucks and i would have probably burst a blood vessel over the ending. Still can't believe they butchered the game juz for profits. WAH! KNN...CCB.

wat a lousy title. oh well...anyway the cast is off. Fracture's healed. As expected need to go for physio. MC was extended until thursday = whole week since fri= public holiday! Pretty nice doc. I didn't ask for the MC extension. Must be the reward for all the good deeds i've done. Haha!

No guard duties until the next appt at least 6 weeks time. At least tat's wat the doc told me! YA! Too bad it can't be 6 MONTHS...sigh...still i should be grateful for stuff like these.

Still using the crutches because ankle's still bloody stiff and can't support my weight yet. Bleh!

24 days gone...

lol...my mc expires after tomorrow. Sheesh that was fast. HAHAHA! At least they would remove the cast b4 deciding whether to refit it or not. Sigh...seriously speaking i don't think my cast will come off yet for 2 reasons.

a) Tried turning the leg left/right (hell of a difficult with the cast on) and of course felt that little tiny stab of pain which indicates that the bone's not yet healed.

b) My bro's med friends said fractures usually have a cast on for 6-8 wks...haha....mine's been on for only 4 wks.

Oh well..that sucks! The gang would juz be saying wah liao! Weak lah! Now can't go out etc etc.

Maybe and Maybe I can extend my MC? hahaha. *IF* that happens, it would bring curses from jaron, tinglong, and larry and a lot of other pple.

I hate staying at home. I mean during the weekends. During wkdays? workdays, i don't mind it at all. So now max i would serve in NS would be 2yrs 3 months! haha...thx to the 1 month+ MCs. Man...another month and it doesn't make any difference whether i passed IPPT or not ( which gives another 2 months off from the 2yrs 4months guys like me)

It's SUNDAY!

Always felt it's good to start off a Sunday on a positive note. Listen to nice happy soothing music etc etc. Well.. going to get a haircut today. Abt time. Havent cut it for like 2 momths...bleh! Getting too thick and hot.

Well..my mom stated something painfully obvious and inevitable i guess. When we grow older,get married (hopefully for me too? haha) contacts with our cousins would drift and ties would no longer be as strong as before. How sad that can that be? Reminds me times 10 yrs back when we would meet up like every week for 6-8 hrs or so playing together at Ah Mah's house. Inseparable cousins.

Sigh...now we meet up only like once a fortnight for only 2-3 hrs. I miss the good old times...but i guess everything had to end. Bleh!

sheesh haven't blog for sometime. not as bad as my last few attempts of having a handwritten dairy. Entries were like spaced once every 2-3 yrs. haha.

nothing much to say, but finally getting the review on my leg done on thursday! Phew...hopefully can get it off. Haha..will miss the MCs though. Going to have it out with thong thong when i go back to camp. I don't see y pple like weizhi can excuse duty 1 month and don't have them chalked up, while mine's chalked up. Knn...ccb. I don't accept this sort of shit.

anyway can't believe the latest NBA news. The Kings traded Chris Webber to the 76er's? ....what the heck were they thinking of? they don't have a replacement power forward...Webber wasn't like under-performing or ridden with old age or injuries. Guess i will go support the Spurs. Really like the way Ginobili plays. Then again i've always supported the point guards like John Stockton who juz gives the assists. Players like Duncan or webber, i mean ya they are of course good but...a bit too showy?

I miss going out...the movies..hate being stuck at home. Wah! none of my friends visited me. haha...not that it matters. Got a visit from camp pple, my bde rsm and S1. Probably to see if i'm faking. No..i'm not so negative. 3 more weeks to go..

Think i'm going to go insane at home...or rather the feeling of being trapped at home. I know many pple would think: 'wow..victor super lucky man. 25 days mc...lucky bastard...cb etc etc'

i mean ya...25 days mc...but imprisoned at home + a cast on the leg which is not very comfortable at all. I miss going out with the guys. Lan, basketball, badminton. of course edward complaining because of me no bball now. not enuff pple with me not ard. *as if i want a fractured ankle in the 1st place....idiot...haha.*

of course camp pple especially a super thick idiotic *censored* 2WO chasing me to come back and do guard duty. My camp friends should know his name. Distinctive ringing noise. Bastard. Still say he will accumulate the duties i miss. CB...as if in the past when i do for pple when they never turn up, did i get any compensation? no... CB. Still can tell me i own him 2 and dish out my 2 duty dates for me. *volcanic eruption...cb...*more censored words*. Camp pple dun know anything abt gratitude.

O lvls results are out...micheal got 9 pts from wat i heard. good for him. Then again his family has always done well in studies i guess. Never really mixed much with the Cheong side, since there are hardly any gatherings together unlike the Neo side where they are at least weekly - monthly gatherings. More of a Neo than a Cheong. But relatives are still relatives.

3 more weeks to go. And that doesn't mean the cast will be taken off. They are going to review it. Man...my bro says his friends in med fac in nus says fractures the casts are usually on for 6-8 weeks? mine's like only 4 weeks...Even if it does come off...have to go for therapy for at least another month. Going to grow fat or fatter if this carries on.
