but give me a heavy lit text or play or novel and i slow down to 100 pages a day..if i'm lucky. add in analysing the damm text and it slows down to 50 pages.

Totally exhausted this whole week

a) waking up at 615am so i can send my sis in law to work + my niece to her (popo's) grandma's house
b) shifting office within 2 weeks time. blah. hate packing. + i just banged my knee with a very heavy box yesterday. Nice little bruise on my kneecap now.
c) Reading Jane Eyre with a literature student's eye. It's.....argh....487 pages? and i still have my Sunset Song book to read also +150 pages to go.

oh well..life's like that

Anyone wants to watch Alice in Wonderland? The very loner thought of going to watch it alone occured to me but i can alrdy feel hx's words of : " watch alone? don't be such a loser lah!" ringing in my ears.

if no one wants to watch it...well i guess i can always wait for it to come out on TV a few years later. I'm FREE NEXT WEEK!! anytime anyday!!

acutally i wanted to watch it this friday since i've to collect my cousin's birthday gift voucher. $50 dinning voucher from Les Amis. His birthday is like on monday but there's a gathering on sat at his house.

Just yesterday i was at Borders (wheelock place), and i noticed some of the books falling off the shelves.

and there was this small group of Singaporeans (young AND old) just looking at the books on the floor. Mind u it was only 4-5 books., was it THAT HARD TO HELP PICK UP THOSE BOOKS???

i mean seriously....there are times when Singaporeans utterly disgust. In the end, i just picked it up and said it loudly enough that those idiots could hear :"is it that hard to pick up these books? Singaporeans...tsk"

As a race, we humans never fail to disgust each other and i guess this incident is just one of many such instances.

Of course there are times when i really don't feel like giving my seat up but then the guilty conscience starts to build up. This inner struggle takes abt 5mins....b4 i give my seat up.

of course most pple say thx..in fact almost all have smiled at me. lol.

except 1 case. This old ah pek was in front of me at the tapping of ur bus card section. so i signalled to let him go pass me (considerate overlord here). Instead of saying thanks what did he do? he scolded me and told me to stop wasting his time. bloooodyyy hell.

somemore that day was my birhtday, not that the old frag knew it but still...


usually i don't give my seats to younger pple. unless for good reasons lol.

taxi was completely trashed though. front bonnet completely caved in half. Car behind me seemed pretty solid, back part was partially caved in.

so delayed me for like 15mins which made it impossible to find a parking space near where my lessons were being held.

pfft. took me 10mins to walk there = made me miss 15mins of my lessons.

my luck for the last 2 weeks isnt that good.

Well u know just when u thought the notorious et3000 had sunk to his lowest in dota skills...he sank even lower.

an EPIC match where victory was almost lost! a battle of wits, determination and emoness. (emo god wasnt there though)

in this game we saw 2 extreme noobs battling it out for the title of noobness supremo.

Contestant number 1: Viper with DAGON. (public player)

contestant number 2: everybody's one and only FAVOURITE and the reigning holder of the title: ET3000 with his SPIRITBREAKER WITH..*drum rolls* EAGLEHORN!!

if not for the emo overlord just glancing at et3000's items, this secret would never have been found out.

Most of these awesome songs are by Nobuo Uematsu. Eternity memories of lightwave were by Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi in FFX-2 after Uematsu sama left Square Enquix. (formely known as Squaresoft) I will say Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi were pretty good composers but they couldnt compare to Nobuo Uematsu's music. In fact Matsueda retired from the music scene after FFX-2 . Couldnt take all the critics reviews

Nobuo Uematsu is Da MAN!!! He's a real genius man. the songs he composes are just soooo goood. anway he left Square Enquix after the former director Hironobu Sakaguchi retired from that company. For those who don't know, Mr Sakaguchi was the one who created most of the Final Fantasy Series. Both of them have founded their own companies and work together from time to time.

by the way, Mr Uematsu founded a band called the BLACK MAGES. basically it's rock versions of Final Fantasy Music.

I think Final Fantasy Songs are the only game songs that are acutally performed by ochestras. One of my biggest regret was missing Nobuo Uematsu's concert in Singapore last year. NOooooooooooo........next time if he comes again i will DEFINITELY buy tickets. even if they cost 200 bucks.! *hero worship eyes*

Some of the frightening /weird things i've seen at the start of the year

a) After a nice full dinner, i enter my parents' room to see them having my little niece sitting on the table hammering away at something and they were saying awww..so cute.

I went closer....to see it was MY laptop which was SWITCHED on and STRANGE menus were popping out


b) Hx showing care and concern to pple. lol.

c) [21:48]: et3000 has entered this room. (the horror!! the horror!!)

d) et3000 has joined the game (the horror!! the horror!!)

e) et3000 joins whatever side you are on (the horror!! the horror!! this is when u truly start to panic and hyperventilate)

f) et3000 has picked juggernaut/phantom assassin/ bloodseeker (oh wait scratch that only opponents see that. When they see that they start cheering).

it shld be...suddenly see et3000 having 1 of those heroe, allies start losing hope in the game. "loose leh loose , gg"

g) et3000 lanes with me. (starts sobbing and crying hysterically, loses 5 years of my total lifespan)

i) et3000: "show u my pro POTM...my vanguard POTM"

j) et3000: "i'm pro ok?"

Recurring nightmares have occurred frequently this year. This is the year i've seriously thought of quitting dota....

It's a FREAKING NIGHTMARE.

I've a veryy very bad feeling that things arent going to work on on Sunday during my grandma's birthday celebrations

The main concern is the utter lack of space. Because its going to be held in my aunt's house and even though theres going to be a club house i sincerely doubt there's going to be enuff space to hold like 50 pple or so? sorry make that 64 pple. Even my aunt said clubhouse prob cant hold all of us together. and her house can ONLY hold max 15 pple.

a) Own family gathering = 32 pple (including kids gfs + bfs)

then my aunt went to invite the godsister who'is very close to my grandma = ok

but also to invite the godsister's half brothers and sisters???? and i heard that their family size is the same as ours. AND only my mom's generation knows them. What abt their kids? NO ONE KNOWS THEM and def = 0 interaction i can say.

so 32x 2 = 64.


initiall i thought 32 pple was alrdy going to be hella cramp. now 64??
where are the young nephews and nieces going to sit? WHERE"S MY GRANDMA GOING TO SIT?

what's more is that the birthday song is going to be in cantonese when everyone doesnt know cantonese but hokkien? and my grandma is a hokkien anyway? (cantonese song was suggested by my aunt's friend. feel like scolding that idiotic person). i mean OMFG.

She even hired a photographer?? dude they also need space to take shots!! and a MC??? sighs.......why do we even need a MC when my cousin Mark is one or can be one, him being the Goth King, DJ etc.

Did i mention that the BLOODY young 19 years old photographer suggested a musical chair game in hokkien music? I MEAN COME ON MAN!! besides the new borns (born in year 2000 and after) the rest of us are min 18 years old. thank god i managed to dissuade my aunt from it but i heard recently she was considering it again.

And there are pts i dun even know like food arrangments, car park space etc.

There are just too many things that are VERY likely to go wrong and there's no way to avoid it since i cant say i dont want to go, after all it is my grandma's birthday.
